On Monday night, the Gents team continued their 2025 Newton Shield campaign with their first away fixture, taking on Kilmacolm.
There was little change to Elderslie’s starting lineup from last week’s home match against Ranfurly Castle, with Craig Checkley coming in for Kenny Bell. The rest of the team remained unchanged: Ethan Lang, Rhys McIlroy, Robbie McLeod, Jim MacDonald, Jack Tourish, Mark McVeigh, and Steven Leckie.
Ethan Lang and Robbie McLeod both recorded wins, while Rhys McIlroy and Jack Tourish each secured a half. With the remaining matches going Kilmacolm’s way, the home side claimed the overall victory on the night.
